Counselling Orientation & Philosophy
Anita understands that managing the difficulties of life can be overwhelming. Due to circumstances out of their control, people may not have the tools needed to thrive and grow. Counselling can help clients identify their inner resources and authentic selves, reduce feelings of distress, increase self-awareness and heal from past traumas. Counselling also helps clients learn new skills to change unconstructive patterns, resulting in a greater sense of well-being. Seeking therapeutic support can be instrumental in helping individuals cultivate the tools and skills needed to navigate personal challenges and life changes.
Anita focuses on building personal relationships in a supportive and safe environment to assist individuals to cultivate self-compassion and embrace their vulnerabilities. She endeavours to develop rapport and create an environment where clients can share their stories and perspectives in a safe space. Anita believes creating strong alliances with clients provides the opportunity for them to navigate through difficult emotions, recognize their strengths, and develop options that will move them toward wellness in a positive manner.
